Fans at Bavaria City Racing Dublin reportedly in excess of 100,000 got just what they wanted from drivers such as Formula 1 driver Jenson Button and Formula Sheane driver Jennifer Mullan in Dublin City Centre on Sunday. Despite wet conditions on Sunday morning, the crowds came in their droves to see and hear an incredible display from the 2009 World Champion in his F1 McLaren as well as a selection of Ireland’s best drivers as they blasted through the centre, the route passing some of Dublin’s iconic landmarks including the historic Trinity College.
Jennifer, who was taking part in the event thanks to a brand new partnership with household favourite goldenpages.ie, market leaders in Online, Print and Mobile platform advertising, provided plenty of entertainment and flew the flag for the girls at the event as the only female participant.
Jennifer was on track in her Irish built Formula Sheane with fellow Northern Irish drivers Philip Shields and Richard Lyons in their Dallara GP2 race cars and Gary Thompson in his Asian Formula 3 race car and certainly wasn’t overshadowed by these more powerful cars.
Speaking after the event, Jennifer expressed how much she enjoyed the event, “this has been a very unique experience for me and something I have thoroughly enjoyed. It was great to see so many fans out there waving and showing their support and I really hope they enjoyed seeing me on track. This week has been superb for me as I am delighted that we have secured the support of goldenpages.ie for the remainder of 2012 to support me in the Formula Sheane Championship which continues in Mondello Park next Sunday. Its all go go go now!”
Jennifer resumes her Formula Sheane Championship campaign in Mondello Park on Sunday 10th June proudly supported by goldenpages.ie, amandakevlin.com, p1digital.ie, Sheane Cars and motorsport.ie. Ahead of Sunday’s event, Jennifer will be raising funds for the fantastic Make-A-Wish Foundation by doing a sponsored walk around Mondello Park. Everyone is welcome to attend the walk from 6pm on Saturday 9th June.
